Here we are May 08 in Italy
preparing for return to our
boat on the Erie Canal.
Our Great Loop Voyage January 28, 2007 to ????
The Bellaire Boaters have established the 41'
President Sundeck Trawler as their base of
operation for exploring the eastern half of the
United States. We began as participants with
different levels of experience in boating, but shared
a common love for travel. We also were both very
experienced as travelers having seen most of the
United States, many parts of Europe, and parts of
Canada and Mexico. We have traveled by boat,
motorcycle and car to gather information about
places, modes of travel, and the process of
traveling. This website will be a beginning vehicle
for sharing our experiences and knowledge of the
places, means and process of travels. We hope to
inspire readers to experience themselves in new
ways, to test new destinations and modes of travel.

The Travels of the Moyers

The sundeck trawler "Harmony" has served as our
home for nine months in 2007 as we traveled from
Seabrook, TX to Brewerton, NY (12 miles north of
Syracuse) She wintered there in heated storage
while we returned to our Texas families, three cats
and our home in the Houston area.
In 2008 we traveled for four months starting in
Brewerton, NY, crossed Lake Ontario to Kingston,
Ontario and slowly made our way across the Trent
Severn Waterway (forty + locks), then into Georgian
Bay and finally through the North Channel and ended
with adventures along the eastern shore of Lake
Michigan. The Canadian cruising was through
pristine and spectacular scenery. We left the boat in
heated storage in White Lake in the towns of
Whitehall and Montague, MI. See links below for
details and pictures.
2009 was very different. We traveled 8900 miles by
car and about 400 miles by boat from Michigan to
Wisconsin and down the coast to Milwaukee then
back across Lake Michigan to Muskegon, MI. where
Harmon is again in heated storage at Great Lakes
Marina
