Listed below are some links that are have been particularly useful to us in both planning and
    enjoying our trip through parts of our 2008 territory.  Embedded within many of these
    specific links are additional active links from their pages to sources of greater detail.  Check

    This is a link to information about a very unique and unusual place, Lake on the Mountain".  
    It is in Prince Edward County, Ontario, Canada and near the town of Picton.
  • Georgian Bay, including the North Channel, Ontario, CA  This link provides an overview of
    the Georgian Bay, including the North Channel (120 miles long) from Port Severn to
    Drummond Island.  It includes the geography, history, settlements, descriptions of 4 national
    parks, sources for further reading, and external links. Within the article there are additional
    active links to encourage you to explore in detail additional interests.
  • Trent-Severn Waterway, Ontario, CA    This link provides an overview of the Trent-Severn
    Waterway (240 miles long) from Trenton  to Port Severn, Ontario, CA.  It includes the history,
    a list of the locks by region and external links.
  • America's Great Loop Cruising Association  This is the Association to which many people
    look when planning, doing or interested in learning more about the America's Great Loop.  It
    includes access to cruising website posted by members of the association who use those
    sites to describe their adventures and experiences.
  • Sailflow Weather Information Specific to Water Travel.  This is an excellent weather site for
    people on the water who want to plan regarding general weather, tides, currents, and wind
    speed and direction.  It takes a bit of use to gain full benefit but has proven many times to be
    very reliable for us and has helped us to avoid bad weather conditions during our voyages.
  • Animated Knots by Grog  This site provides a list of the most common and useful knots for
    people with boats specifically and they have lots of other applications as well.  This is
    particularly good because it shows with animation the actual tying of knots.
  • The Salty Southeast Cruisers Net  This site provides a variety of information, but specifically
    is useful for providing up to date information to active cruisers along parts of the Gulf Coast
    (mostly western FL) and the Atlantic coast.  Look on the left side of the page for links to
    specific cruising areas.
